WHAT ARE WE DOING?
We started PedalBox to work on cars we already owned, with an audience we'd keep up the work and keep them on the road.
Instead we bought a half built kit-car chassis on ebay, in the dark with a pile of spares we totally ignored. And then bought another car too.
This isn't your normal car show, filled with knowledgeable folk who have a decent handle on what they're trying to do. Neither of us have any background in mechanics or engineering and we didn't have a pedigree of wrenching before we started, we probably still don't if we're honest.
We've been winging a lot of this build as we go (and sometimes it shows) but it's a testament to what two people with a bunch of tools and a welder can do on a driveway with a half-baked idea. We're not exactly sure what its going to look like, but there are a few design keys we know we want. Probably.
But this Haynes-manual chassis isn't the only thing on the go.
We've got a whole fleet of other cars to keep on the road, we alternate videos between the chassis (we really need a name!) and all the other cars. Theres a 1984 Rover SD1 2600, a 1966 Ford Thunderbird, a 1990 Golf VR6 and there's plenty of work to do.

What are we working on?
"The Chassis" - We need a better name...
"There's a chassis in Norfolk for £250. We could build something from that" -Ade
We drove to Norfolk one Thursday evening to buy this chassis and a pile of bits on ebay. Arriving in the dark, with 15 minutes left on the auction, we looked, we bid, we won. Carrying a 10 foot chassis on a 5 foot trailer was... interesting, and it looks a LOT different now.
1990 VW Golf Mk2 VR6 - "The Lolf"
Ade's first project, started 10 years ago, slowly changing and far from a solo effort.
It's been to the Nurburgring and was the basis for a huge amount of learning from everyone who helped. Massive thanks to all those involved and Matt for his continued support.
One day it'll get finished, but what really is 'finished' anyway. Turbo? Supercharger? AWD?
Rover 2600 - "Grumps"
"It was £2,500, how could I not?!" -Chris
A couple years ago I inexplicably decided a 35 year old British car would be a good choice of daily driver. Unfortunately I've come down with a bad case of Roveritis, and although I keep finding more and more past bodges that need fixing, I'm determined to sort this old wedge out properly, and maybe add some boost while I'm at it!
-Chris
1966 Ford Thunderbird
"Chris, have you gotta sec? I need you to talk me out of buying something" -Ade
The Thunderbird was an impulse buy, probably not the smartest move with so many other projects, but it couldn't be passed up. The engine runs, but the fuel tank, brakes, body and interior need some love.
